How to share listings with outside brokers?

Below information is relevant for Individual and Team Account only.  It does not apply to Landlord Account.

Prerequisite: Internal listing that is manually entered.  Exclusive right to represent the property shared.  User with sharing privilege, such as the admin or manager user.


What it means to share with outside brokers?

Introducing the YGL Network

The YGL Network allows brokers to share selective exclusive listings with other brokers on the YGL platform in order to increase exposure and help rent the listings faster.  By sharing your listing on the YGL Network, you are granting other brokers the ability to view your listings info along with the rights to advertise the listing with their contact info to help procure a renter.  From the outside broker's perspective, they will not see your internal landlord info, instead they will see the account as the landlord contact.

How to share listing(s) with outside brokers?


Internal exclusive listings can be shared in 2 ways.  You can just share the specific listing, or share the landlord, which in turn shares all listings under the landlord.

Share Listing:
  1. Click on Rentals in the navigation menu.
  2. Search for the desired property.
  3. Click on the address to go to its details page.
  4. Locate the YGL Network Settings section on the right column.
  5. Click on the rectangular Edit button to the right.
  6. Set the Visible to Outside Brokers dropdown to Yes.
  7. Make any necessary changes and save.
Share Landlord:
  1. Click on the Landlords in the navigation menu.
  2. Search for the desired landlord.
  3. Click on the landlord's name to go to its details page.
  4. Locate the YGL Network Settings section on the right column.
  5. Click on the rectangular Edit button to the right.
  6. Set the Visible to Outside Brokers dropdown to Yes.
  7. Make any necessary changes and save.

What information is shared?


Broker View:

See exactly want outside brokers see.
  1. Visit the shared listing's details page
  2. Locate the YGL Network Settings section on the right column.
  3. Click on the rectangular Edit button to the right.
  4. Scroll down to view the Outside Broker View.

Hidden Info:

All the listing's info will be shared except the below. The following fields are not visible to outside brokers.
  • Key / Entry Info
  • Move in Costs
  • Unit and Building Tags
  • Website & Syndication Ad Copy
  • Unit, Building and Landlord Internal Notes
  • Landlord Info -  Outside brokers will not see the landlord information that you have internally. They will see your account as the landlord.
Customizable Fields:

You can set a different price and fee paid for the outside broker than what you have internally.
  • Rent
  • Fee
Additional Fields: 

 3 additional fields will be available for the shared listing to convey info.
  • Broker Unit Notes
  • Broker Building Notes
  • Broker Landlord Notes
