Applicant Type in a Transaction

In a transaction, the Applicant Type can be classified as one of the following:

• Professional
• Domestic Student
• International Student

The selected Applicant Type determines the specific information required on the Rental Application form.

For example:

• A student, unlike a professional, may not have employment details, so employment-related fields will not be mandatory on their application.
• Similarly, differences exist between domestic and international students; international students typically do not have a Social Security number, making this field optional on their form.

Choosing the correct Applicant Type streamlines the application process by ensuring that only relevant fields are displayed, reducing confusion for applicants, which in turn reduces additional communication between you and the applicant thus speeds up the application process.
